Linen is simple to live with. A few gentle habits and it only gets better with time.
Cool wash, gentle cycle. A mild detergent without optical brighteners works best. Avoid fabric softener — it coats the fibres and stops linen from softening naturally.
Line dry where you can. If you tumble dry, keep it on low and pull it out while it's still slightly damp to keep the hand soft.
Optional. Linen is meant to have a quiet, lived-in texture. If you want a crisper look, iron while slightly damp on a medium heat.
Fold loosely and store in a dry, ventilated space. Linen breathes — vacuum bags and airtight containers aren't its friend.
